A ‘True’ Craftsman
-
Foundation
This is where it all starts. Mapping out for excavation and construction of the foundation. This particular project includes a ‘closed-cell’ insulated slab with insulated walls for additional comfort.
-
Rough Framing
Where it begins to feel real. There are many variables when matching up an addition with an original structure. Preventing any water intrusion into the home is the highest priority.
-
Roofing
Quickly ‘drying-in’ is always at the forefront. There’s a level of comfort in knowing your roof is fully shingled. In addition, we ensure our material quality is unmatched by only using high quality plywood for our walls and roof sheathing.
-
Exterior Rigid Foam Insulation
Close-cell exterior foam on the exterior of a home to increase insulation value is becoming a much more common building practice. The rigid foam is nearly waterproof, coupled with an exterior ‘rain screen’ (air barrier) to help further prevent water intrusion.
-
Proper Roof Venting
Proper roof and soffit venting is often the most neglected building practice. How much ventilation is too little? We prefer not to take the a chance on your project.
-
Exterior Finish
There are many exterior trim and siding options to choose from. We truthfully have our preferences when it comes to overall aesthetic and product longevity. The least we can do is provide you the options paired with what we believe to be the pros and cons of each.
-
Exterior Finish
As PNW builders, a proper roof overhang or eve is never neglected. While home design styles vary, we believe these to be crucial in preventing water intrusion.
-
Interior Millwork
We believe interior trim details should be entirely your preference. You’re the one who will be looking at it each day from here on out. If you’d like something out of the norm, by all means, we can deliver for you.
-
Windows & Doors
Windows can be just as subtle of a detail as they can be bold. Some homes deserve as window centerpiece. Skylights in particular can be extremely utilitarian in brightening up a space and equally aesthetic.

A 'True' Craftsman
We believe that a craftsman, builds an addition to look as though it was always part of the original home. That is what we strive for. The project you’ve been dreaming of.
